From our lovely wine grower in the Touraine, Luc Poullain, comes this masterpece. Along the Cher River, where you have the world’s most exciting goat cheeses, are chalk deposits much like in Champagne. Chenonceau castle is the hallmark of this area – the ‘women’s chateau.”
It’s very rare for new AOCs to pop up – especially since 2010, but in 2011 Touraine Chenonceaux gained Appellation status – thanks to the work of these local growers.
