Our newest addition to the Flori line comes from their newest vineyard, planted by Noemi and her brother Michele just four years ago in Asti. Spanning 13 hectares, this picturesque vineyard is already producing some of the most refreshing Moscato we’ve ever had the pleasure of tasting. Perched atop a limestone cliff in full sun, the vines benefit from cool Mediterranean breezes that temper the heat allowing for slow, steady ripening even in the hottest of summers.
Wine Description
Cantina Flori was born from a genuine passion for viticulture passed down through four generations. The winery is located in the hills of Treiso, a small village in the province of Cuneo, and produces the traditional wines of the area: Langhe Nebbiolo, Barbaresco, Dolcetto d’Alba, Langhe Arneis and now for the first time Moscato d’Asti.
The cultivation of the vineyards has always been carried out with a deep respect for nature, using the best low-impact technologies to minimize environmental harm. They are also certified under the SQNPI (National Quality System of Integrated Production), a production method that ensures the quality of their products exceeds commercial standards.
Grapes are hand harvested and brought to the cellar where vinification is done in refrigerated stainless-steel tanks. In the cellar, brother and sister team of Noemi and Michele Flori take care to create an authentic wine with native yeast and allows the natural sugars of the grape to shine giving us this gem of a frizzante wine, intensely aromatic on the nose, redolent of white peach, honey and orange blossom.
