Rooted in the heart of the Côte de Nuits, the Rion family has been tending vines and crafting wines for several generations. Based in Nuits-Saint-Georges, they now farm 4.3 hectares passed down through the family, with vines that include old selections originally planted by Louis Rion, the grandfather of the current winegrower Pascale Rion. Pascale’s daughter, Annabelle, is also involved in this journey. She is currently studying viticulture and occasionaly works in the family vineyard.
Their work reflects a deep commitment to sustainable, reasoned viticulture and careful management of wine growth to encourage biodiversity and vine health. Each step, from the vineyard to the cellar in Chambolle-Musigny, is carried out with precision and respect for tradition.
Their wines are a true reflection of the Côte de Nuits, a region renowned for its mosaic of “climats”, its exceptionnal Pinot Noir, and its centuries-old winegrowing heritage. Through their thoughtful approach, the Rion family captures the depth, structure, and elegance that define Burgundy’s finest terroirs.

16,5 Points (2022 vintage review) – Jancis Robinson
“Transparent garnet and a little subdued on the nose. The oak is still evident but there is good energy here. Still youthful. Polished tannins are there although still to be resolved, but it’s long and honest. (JR)”
